Urgent legal matter in Greece?

If you are facing a time-sensitive legal matter in Greece, you may contact the Law Office by email for a prompt initial assessment.

Examples of urgent matters

Urgent matters may include detention or another immediate restriction of liberty; an imminent hearing, procedural deadline or risk of enforcement; the need to seek a temporary order or other interim relief; and situations requiring an urgent application for protective measures.

Such circumstances may arise, for example, in family disputes involving the immediate protection of a child or other vulnerable person; property disputes concerning possession, access, construction works or threatened damage; employment disputes involving imminent dismissal or other serious prejudice; and commercial or financial disputes where delay may materially affect the client’s rights or the preservation of assets or evidence.

Please provide your full name, telephone number, current location, the names of all parties involved, any known hearing or deadline, and a concise description of the matter and the reason why immediate action may be required.

Priority assessment
Up to 60 minutes
Response
Priority review and, where possible, same-day contact

Urgent requests are reviewed on a priority basis. Assistance is subject to availability, conflict checks and express written acceptance by the Law Office. This service is not a 24-hour emergency hotline.

A priority assessment fee applies and will be confirmed in writing before the consultation, following an availability and conflict check. Payment is requested only after those checks have been completed.

Email an urgent request

Full payment is required when booking a scheduled consultation. If the Law Office subsequently accepts formal instructions following a Standard or International Legal Consultation, that consultation fee may be credited against the initial retainer. Payment for an urgent legal assessment is requested only after availability and conflict checks have been completed.

Booking policies

Rescheduling and cancellation

The applicable rescheduling and cancellation terms are stated on the booking page before payment. For the International Legal Consultation, an appointment may be rescheduled once without charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Later cancellations and non-attendance are non-refundable. If the Law Office is unable to hold the appointment, the client may choose between rescheduling and a full refund.

Practical information

Frequently asked questions

Can I instruct the Law Office from abroad?

Yes. Initial consultations may be held by Google Meet and many preparatory steps can be coordinated remotely. Any formal instruction remains subject to conflict checks, the nature of the matter and express written acceptance by the Law Office.

Is an initial consultation confidential?

Information received for conflict checking and an initial assessment is handled in accordance with applicable data-protection law and professional confidentiality duties. An appointment or preliminary exchange does not by itself create a lawyer–client relationship.

What should I send before the consultation?

Please send a concise chronology, the relevant jurisdictions and parties, any imminent deadline, and only the documents reasonably necessary for the initial assessment. The International Legal Consultation includes prior review of a concise written summary and up to five relevant pages.

Can the Law Office act outside Athens?

Yes. Matters may be handled throughout Greece, with necessary local professional and procedural support coordinated under the direction and supervision of Constantinos Tokatlides.

What happens after the consultation?

Where further work is appropriate, the proposed scope, fees and terms will be confirmed separately. A formal engagement exists only after it has been expressly and in writing accepted by the Law Office.

Information and documents submitted before a consultation

By sending information or documents to the Law Office, you request and authorise the Law Office to receive, open, review and process those materials solely for conflict checking, the initial assessment of your enquiry, arranging or conducting the consultation and, where applicable, the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Please send only information and documents reasonably necessary for those purposes. Where materials contain personal data relating to another person, they should be submitted only where reasonably necessary and lawful to do so. Please do not send original documents. If you do not wish the materials to be reviewed for these purposes, please do not submit them.

Submission of information or documents does not create a lawyer–client relationship and does not oblige the Law Office to accept an instruction. An engagement arises only after it has been expressly and in writing accepted by the Law Office. Personal data are handled in accordance with the Privacy Notice, applicable data-protection law and the Law Office’s duties of professional confidentiality.

Ask which consultation applies

Each consultation or urgent legal assessment is intended for an initial assessment and does not itself constitute acceptance of a legal instruction or establish a lawyer–client relationship. The Law Office may ask for a booking to be changed if the selected service does not correspond to the matter or required working language. Please provide only the information necessary for the initial assessment until the engagement has been expressly and in writing accepted by the Law Office.
